Installation

Blender 4.2 and newer

With the most recent Blender versions you can simply drag and drop the extension zip into Blender window and the addon should install normally.

Alternatively:

  1. Go to Edit > Preferences > Get Extensions;

  2. Click the fly-out menu in the top-right corner (see the image below) and select Install from Disk...

  3. Select the downloaded .zip file;

  4. Change the extension settings or the hotkey in the addon preferences panel;

  5. It’s recommended to restart Blender;

Blender pre-4.2

To install the addon:

  1. Go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install;

  2. Select the downloaded .zip file;

  3. Enable the addon by clicking a tickbox near its name;

  4. Change the addon settings or the hotkey in the addon preferences panel;

  5. It’s recommended to restart Blender;

Manual Installation

Alternatively to completely reinstall the addon:

  1. Close Blender;

  2. Go to your Blender addons folder:

    • Winddows: %appdata%\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.XX\scripts\addons\

    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Blender Foundation/Blender/2.XX/scripts/addons/

  3. Remove Cablerator folder if it’s there;

  4. Copy Cablerator folder from the downloaded .zip file to addons folder;

  5. Start Blender;
